In the olden days, Emma and I went to primary school together and later, high school. So it was a no brainer when she asked me to provide her with her wedding flowers for her May wedding day at Bluecoat, in Liverpool City Centre.
Emma's colour palette included dusky blue, navy, green, white and a hint of grey. I finally had the opportunity to use the beautiful grey shaded Earl Grey rose in Emma's bouquet and her bridesmaids bouquets and they certainly didn't disappoint. Various shades of blue within navy Eryngium and light blue Delphinium complemented the white Avalanche and Snowflake spray roses. Astrantia, Lisianthus, Brunia and Gypsophilia were added too. I used foliage of different varieties including Olive, fragrant Eucalyptus Populus and Thalaspi.
Lots of texture within the greenery, gave the bouquet movement and the usual Michelle Anne Floristry loose and wild shape. The grey silk ribbons finished the bouquets off perfectly.
For the buttonholes, Emma and Gordon wanted something a little different than usual! Each of the groomsmen selected a different Lego superhero and Emma passed them over to me to include in the buttonholes of foliage and florals, tied with a rustic twine bow.
All in all, Emma's bouquet really made me happy and it really is one of my favourites of the year so far.
So, congratulations again, to the newly married Mr and Mrs Kemble. Lots of love! x
