I've had the pleasure of doing a few florals for Kate's family, so it was really nice to be able to provide Kate and Brad with their wedding flowers and be involved in another Hargreaves wedding.
The colour palette included greens and whites, a classic combo, with a few grey and blue additions. I used various types of foliage, beautiful and seasonal ice white dahlias, white fluffy astilbe, white lisianthus, white veronica, white waxflower and tall, strong delphinium in dark and pastel blue. Scabiosa, astrantia, eryginum and anemones all have similar floral forms, the shape of their heads, so these were a lovely contrast against the taller materials. The ever popular gypsophilia was also used, as the sole material within the bridesmaids bouquets. I added a touch of it into the bridal bouquet and accessories too. If ever there was a flower to represent the scent of a country garden, its stock, or to give him his real name, "matthiola", which was a lovely addition in white to the florals.
Accessories included jam jars of florals for the table centrepieces, gypsophilia buttonholes tied with rustic twine, a lovely hairslide for the blushing bride and two delicate wrist corsages for the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom.
Congratulations Kate and Brad!
And a special mention to Julia, the mother of the bride, for all of your support since day one. Its been an honour to be involved in so many of your families events x
"Michelle's flowers and service has been absolutely flawless throughout the planning and handover on the day. The flowers given on the day were far better than all the images and inspiration given. She has done all of my families flowers and has never disappointed.
Thank you again Michelle for all the gorgeous flowers!" - Kate
